This 8-hour training course will help prepare hazardous materials personnel to avoid an in-suit emergency and prepare them to respond to an emergency in the hot-zone including self-rescue and buddy-aid tactics.

The didactic session will cover preventing in-suit emergencies by understanding the HazMat line of duty deaths, review the “real” hot-zone hazards, protection through detection, and in-depth understanding of PPE use and limitations. The practical sessions will include suit survival skills and a level-A confidence course.
