Advanced Technical Reference 1 (ATR-1)

Digital Tools for HazMat Risk-Based Response

 
Course Decription:
This 8-hour, instructor-led, scenario-based course prepares hazardous materials technicians to use digital references, calculators, and decision-support tools for critical response decisions, including PPE selection, control zones, air monitoring, decontamination, and mitigation tactics.
 
Digital Tools:
ATR-1 incorporates the free versions of Chemical Emergency Response E-Service (CERES), Chemical Companion (ERDSS), the Emergency Response Playbook (ER Playbook), and other digital response tools.

ATR-1 Course Topics:

A one-year license for CERES HazMat team is

Advanced Technical Reference 2 (ATR-2)

Responding to Complex Incidents Including Unknowns, Mixtures, Bess Fires, & Bulk Transportation Releases

 
Course Decription:
An 8-hour, instructor-led course that builds on
ATR-1, preparing hazardous materials technicians to use
advanced digital tools for complex HazMat incidents
involving unknown chemicals, BESS fires, transportation
emergencies, clandestine labs, and CBRN materials.
 
Digital Tools:
ATR-2 includes the paid version of Chemical Emergency Response E-Service (CERES), the free version of Chemical Companion (ERDSS), the ER Playbook, and other free tools.

ATR-2 Course Topics:

A one-year license for CERES air monitoring integration for one manufacture is included at no costs. Restriction applies.

Advanced Technical Reference 3 (ATR-3)

Preparing for & Responding to Major HazMat Incidents Including Derailments, Chemical Plant Fires, Pipeline Releases

 
Course Decription:
Building on ATR-2, this 8-hour, instructor-led course prepares hazardous materials technicians to manage information and coordinate response during large-scale HazMat incidents using advanced digital tools, wireless air monitoring, dispersion modeling, and data sharing.
 
Digital Tools:
ATR-3 incorporates the pipeline mapping system, AskRail, the paid version of Chemical Emergency Response E-Service (CERES), the free version of Chemical Companion (ERDSS), the
Emergency Response Playbook (ER Playbook), and other digital tools.
