This 8-hour course will prepare first responders to conduct a risk-based response to an incident involving a potential biological warfare agent (BWAs) or infectious disease. Responders will learn to conduct a risk assessment for known infectious diseases and unknown pathogens using medical intelligence, dispatch information, scene size up, and patient signs and symptoms.
